UAE visa types explained: single vs. multiple entry

We offer three UAE visa options, and the names alone don't always make it obvious which one fits your trip. Here's the difference, in plain terms.

30-day single entry

Valid for a single continuous stay of up to 30 days. Once you leave the UAE, the visa is used up — even if you're still within the 30-day window, re-entering requires a new visa. This is the right choice if your trip is one visit with no plans to leave and come back (for example, a short holiday, or a work trip with no side trips to neighbouring countries).

30-day multiple entry

Same 30-day validity window, but you can leave and re-enter the UAE as many times as you like within that period. This suits travellers who might, for example, fly into Dubai, take a short trip to Oman or another neighbouring country, and then return to the UAE before their visa expires.

60-day multiple entry

The longest option we offer — a 60-day window with unlimited entries during that time. Good for longer stays, business travellers making repeat visits, or anyone who wants the flexibility of a longer runway without reapplying.

Which one should you choose?

A simple way to think about it: if you're flying in, staying put, and flying home once — single entry is enough and is the lower-cost option. If there's any chance you'll cross a border and come back, multiple entry saves you from needing to reapply mid-trip. And if your stay runs longer than a month, the 60-day option gives you breathing room.

Processing time is the same either way

All three UAE visa types currently take 5–10 business days to process, so the entry type you choose doesn't affect how quickly you'll receive your visa — only the price and how the visa can be used once issued.
